Two years have passed since the last Roppongi Art Night when 700,000 visitors came to celebrate the power of art. This year the festival returns with “Art: Giving Genki Back to Japan” as its theme and will feature the latest from world-acclaimed avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama and wide diversity of artworks by leading and up-and-coming artists, each bearing a message of Japan’s renewed vitality. All night for one night only, join us from sunset to sunrise when the entire town becomes a festive gallery of art!

“In March 2011, I decided to take pictures of this year’s cherry blossoms.” These words that begin Mika Ninagawa’s postscript in her photo book entitled “SAKURA” encapsulate this exhibition that highlights a selection of 21 photos from the photo book of 86 photos and only a handful of over 2,500 images she captured over one week beginning on March 1, 2011.
