Trivia 1Snow & Blue

「Snow & Blue」とは、けやき坂イルミネーションの光のコンセプトです。
By adding blue, which is the image of reflected light that shines faintly in the snowy landscape, to white, which is the image of falling snow, the glitter of rime on trees is dramatically expressed.

Trivia 2Illuminations that think of the earth

Some may wonder how much the Keyakizaka Illumination are putting a burden on the environment. Actually, the electric power used for the Keyakizaka Illumination is almost the same as that of a general household TV per tree, although there are differences depending on the size of the trees. LED light bulbs that can reduce power consumption by up to about 85% compared to incandescent light bulbs. Roppongi Hills has been using it for illumination since 2003. Being kind to the earth is also an important point of the light events, which is a winter tradition.

Trivia 3The secret of glitter

There is a secret in the light of the Keyakizaka Illumination. As a commitment to lighting design, Keyakizaka uses two types of LED illumination.

① LED that emits shining light from any direction
(2) An LED with a shape that emits a specially brilliant light only when viewed from a certain angle.

By using these two types of LEDs, a special glitter like rime is created depending on the fluctuation of the tree and the viewing angle.
