Okinawa is an important traditional citizen participation event among Shingu Shinkansen events, an ancient traditional Japanese event that received designation of intangible folk cultural properties. More than 500 years ago, citizens of Ise started from the heart of godliness, piled up wooden materials used for newly building temples in Shukuya and carried them to the god area. It is the first time in history that wooden rings with a history of more than 500 years were held in places other than Ise, Mie prefecture.
